(1) Late Maulana Abul Kalam Azad {Born on 11st November 1888 at Mecca, Hejaz Vilayet, Ottoman Empire (now Saudi Arabia), Died on 22nd February 1958 at Delhi, India} – He was an Indian independence activist, Islamic theologian, writer and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress. Following India’s independence, he became the First Minister of Education in the Indian government. He is commonly remembered as Maulana Azad; the word Maulana is an honorific meaning ‘Our Master’ and he had adopted Azad (Free) as his pen name. His contribution to establishing the education foundation in India is recognised by celebrating his birthday as National Education Day across India.
Azad became the leader of the Khilafat Movement (1919-1924), during which he came into close contact with the Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi. In 1923, at an age of 35, he became the youngest person to serve as the President of the Indian National Congress. He served as Congress president from 1940 to 1945, during which the Quit India rebellion was launched. Azad was imprisoned, together with the entire Congress leadership. He also worked for Hindu–Muslim unity through the Al-Hilal newspaper.

(2) Late Mr. Badruddin Jamaluddin Kazi Alias Mr. Johnny Walker ( (Born on 11st November 1926 atIndore, Died On 29th July 2003 at Mumbai) – He was an Indian actor who acted in around 300 films. He was best known for his humorous roles in Indian films, notably being typecasted as a hapless drunkard. When he was young he got a job as a Bombay Electric Supply & Transport (BEST) bus conductor, took it upon himself to entertain his passengers with his comical way of calling out bus stops, his hilarious impressions and tricks. He got a break in the film industry after actor Balraj Sahni encountered him introduced him to actor and director Guru Dutt. He gained a role in Baazi (1951). It was Guru Dutt who gave him the name of Johnny Walker, a reference to the brand of Scotch whisky, when he was inspired by Kazi’s display in the role of a drunkard. Mala Sinha

(3) Mrs. Mala Sinha (Born on 11th November, 1936 in Kolkata, West Bengal) – She is a former Indian actress who has worked in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali films. Initially starting her career with regional cinema, she went on to become a top leading actress in Hindi Cinema in the late 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s. Mala Sinha started her career as child artist in Bengali films – Jai Vaishno Devi followed by Shri Krishan Leela, Jog Biyog and Dhooli. Noted Bengali director Ardhendu Bose saw her acting in a school play and took permission from her father to cast her as a heroine in his Bengali film Roshanara (1952), her cinematic debut. After acting in a couple of films in Calcutta, Mala Sinha went to Bombay for a Bengali film. Her first Hindi film was Badshah (1954) opposite Pradeep Kumar. In a career spanning four decades, Sinha rose to prominence with Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa (1957) and Yash Chopra’s Dhool Ka Phool (1959). Later, she starred in over hundred film productions including Phir Subah Hogi (1958), Hariyali Aur Rasta (1962), Anpadh (1962), Dil Tera Deewana (1962), Gumrah (1963), Bahurani (1963), Gehra Daag (1963), Jahan Ara (1964), Apne Huye Paraye (1964), Himalay Ki God Mein (1965), Aasra (1966), Ankhen (1968), Mere Huzoor (1968), Do Kaliyaan (1968), Geet (1970), Maryada (1971) Lalkar (1972), Karmayogi (1978) etc. . She was known as the “daring diva” and “torch bearer of women’s cinema” for essaying strong female centric and unconventional roles in a range of movies considered ahead of her times. She was the highest-paid actress from 1958 to 1965. Having received multiple awards and nominations, she was given the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.

(4) Mr. Robin Uthappa (Born on 11th November, 1985 at Kodagu) – He is a former Indian cricketer, who last played for Kerala in domestic cricket & Chennai Super Kings in IPL. Robin has represented team India in ODIs and T20Is. Uthappa made his One Day International debut in the seventh and final match of the English tour of India in April 2006. He had a successful debut, making 86 as an opening batsman. It was the highest score for an Indian debutant in a limited-overs match. He is nicknamed ‘The Walking Assassin’ for his tactic of charging down towards the bowler. He played an important role in India’s win at the 2007 ICC World Twenty20. He finished the 2014–15 Ranji Trophy season as the highest run scorer that season and was also the highest run-scorer that year in the IPL. He announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 14 September 2022.
