(1) Late Chaudhary Charan Singh (Born : 23 December 1902 Noorpur, Hapur, UP. Died – 29 May 1987, New Delhi) – Chaudhary Charan Singh served as the 5th Prime Minister of India between 28 July 1979 and 14 January 1980. He received a Master of Arts (MA) degree in 1925 and a law degree in 1926 from Agra University. He started practice as a civil lawyer at Ghaziabad in 1928. In February 1937 he was elected from the constituency of Chhaprauli (Baghpat) to the Legislative Assembly of the United Provinces at the age of 34. Charan Singh followed Mahatma Gandhi in non-violent struggle for independence from the British Government, and was imprisoned several times. in 1967, Charan Singh formed his own political party, Bharatiya Kranti Dal. With the help and support of Raj Narain and Ram Manohar Lohia, he became Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1967, and later in 1970. He served as Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister and Finance minister in the Janata government headed by Morarji Desai in 1977. Charan Singh was sworn in as Prime Minister on 28 July 1979, with outside support by Indira Congress and Yeshwantrao Chavan of Congress (Socialist) faction as his Deputy PM. But after just 23 days, he resigned on 20 August 1979 due to ensufient majority in Loksabha. Lok Sabha was dissolved, and Charan Singh continued as caretaker PM until January 1980. His association with causes dear to farming communities in India caused his memorial in New Delhi to be named Kisan Ghat.

(2) Late Mr. Arun Bali (Born: 23 December 1942 In Punjab, Died: 7th October 2022 at Mumbai) – Arun Bali was an Indian actor who has worked in numerous films and television series. He played the part of King Porus in the 1991 period drama Chanakya, Kunwar Singh in the Doordarshan soap opera Swabhimaan and the Chief Minister of undivided Bengal, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, in the controversial and critically acclaimed 2000 film Hey Ram. In the 2000s, he became known for his “grandfatherly” roles like that of Harshwardhan Wadhwa in Kumkum and has even garnered popular awards for the same. He is also a National Award-winning producer. Arun Bali was associated with theater for a long time. He also acted in many plays and also wrote many plays. He also worked in writing and directing Doordarshan’s serial. From 1990 he started acting in the serials of Doordarshan. And in 1991, she made her Bollywood debut by acting in the film Saugandh with Akshay Kumar. Arun Bali is very famous for his acting. Arun Bali has so far played the role of a supporting actor in more than 50 films and many TV serials. His last movie was Dunki (2023).
