(1) Mr. Kapil Dev (Born: 6th January 1959 at Chandigarh) – Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj is a former Indian cricketer. He was a fast medium bowler and a hard hitting middle order batsman. He led India to win its first Cricket World Cup title in 1983. He was named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002. Dev captained the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, and in the process became first Indian captain to win the Cricket World Cup, and is still the youngest captain (at the age of 24) to win the World Cup for any team. He retired in 1994, at the time holding the world record for the greatest number of wickets taken in Test cricket, a record subsequently broken by Courtney Walsh in 2000. At the time, he was also India’s highest wicket-taker in both major forms of cricket, Tests and ODIs. He is the first player to take 200 ODI wickets. He is the only player in the history of cricket to have taken more than 400 wickets (434 wickets) and scored more than 5000 runs in Tests, making him one of the greatest all-rounders in the history of cricket.
(2) Mr. A.R. Rahman (Born: 6th January 1967 at Chennai) – Allah Rakha Rahman is an Indian film composer, record producer, singer and songwriter who works predominantly in Tamil and Hindi films. In 2010, the Indian government awarded him the Padma Bhushan, the nation’s third-highest civilian award. Among Rahman’s awards are six National Film Awards, two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, fifteen Filmfare Awards and seventeen Filmfare Awards South.
Rahman initially composed scores for different documentaries and jingles for advertisements and Indian television channels. With his in-house studio Panchathan Record Inn, Rahman’s film-scoring career began during the early 1990s with the Tamil film Roja. Following that, he went on to score several songs for Tamil language films, including Ratnam’s politically charged Bombay, the urban Kadhalan, Thiruda Thiruda, and S. Shankar’s debut film Gentleman. Rahman’s score for his first Hollywood film, the comedy Couples Retreat (2009), won the BMI Award for Best Score. His music for Slumdog Millionaire (2008) earned him Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards. He was also awarded Best Compilation Soundtrack Album and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 2010 Grammy Awards. He is nicknamed “Isai Puyal” (musical storm) and “Mozart of Madras”.
(3) Diljit Dosanjh (Born : 6 January 1984 in Dosanjh Kalan, Jalandhar, Punjab.) – Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer-songwriter, actor, film producer and television presenter who works in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He is recognised as one of the leading artists in the Indian music industry. He also acts in Punjabi movies, with many of them being commercially successful, including Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2, Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji, Ambarsariya, Sardaar Ji 2, Super Singh, Sajjan Singh Rangroot , Shadaa and Honsla Rakh– which are among the most successful Punjabi movies in history. He made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with the crime thriller ‘Udta Punjab’ for which he earned the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. However, this was followed by films that failed to propel his career forward in the Hindi film industry.
