(1) Late Swami Vivekanand (Born on 12th January, 1863 at Kolkota, Died on 4th July, 1902 at Belur Math) – Swami Vivekananda (Born as Narendranath Datta), was an Indian Hindu monk and philosopher. He was a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. Influenced by Western esotericism, he was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian darsanas (teachings, practices) of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world, and is credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century. He was a major force in the contemporary Hindu reform movements in India, and contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India. Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is perhaps best known for his speech which began with the words “Sisters and brothers of America” in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893. Born into an aristocratic Bengali Kayastha family of Calcutta, Vivekananda was inclined towards spirituality. He was influenced by his guru, Ramakrishna, from whom he learnt that all living beings were an embodiment of the divine self; therefore, service to God could be rendered by service to humankind.

(2) Mr. Arun Govil (Born on 12th January, 1958 at Merut, UP) – Arun Govil is an Indian actor, producer and politician. He has acted in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Braj Bhasha, Odia and Telugu films. He is best known for playing Lord Rama in Ramanand Sagar’s hit television series Ramayan (1987). He made his Bollywood debut in Prashanta Nanda’s Paheli (1977). He shot to stardom after he was cast in Kanak Mishra’s ‘Sawan Ko Aane Do’ (1979) and Satyen Bose’s ‘Saanch Ko Aanch Nahin‘ (1979). He made his small screen debut in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Vikram Aur Betaal’ (1985). He was then cast as Lord Rama in Sagar’s TV series ‘Ramayan‘ (1986), for which he won the Uptron Award in the Best Actor in a Leading Role category in 1988.He reprised his role as Rama in Sagar’s ‘Luv Kush‘. His role as Rama provided him great exposure and led him to be cast in other roles such as Harishchandra in the TV series ‘Vishwamitra‘ or ‘Buddha’ in the TV series “Buddha”. He lent his voice as Rama in Yugo Sako’s Indo-Japanese animation film ‘Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama‘ (1992). He also played the role of Laxman in V. Madhusudhan Rao’s ‘Lav Kush‘ (1997).

(3) Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra (Born on 12th January, 1972 at New Delhi) – Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is an Indian politician and the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee in charge of Uttar Pradesh. She is the daughter of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, sister of Rahul Gandhi, and granddaughter of Feroze and Indira Gandhi, making her a member of the politically prominent Nehru-Gandhi family. She is also a trustee of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. Priyanka Gandhi did her schooling at Modern School (New Delhi) and at Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, and later a master’s degree in Buddhist studies in 2010. She is married to Robert Vadra, a Hindu businessman from Delhi. The wedding took place at the Gandhi home, 10 Janpath, on 18 February 1997 in a traditional Hindu ceremony. They have two children; a son and a daughter. She follows Buddhist philosophy and practices Vipassana.
