Puri is about 63 km far from Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar. There is a huge temple of Lord Jagannath ji in Puri. Puri town is situated on the banks of the Bay of Bengal. The beaches are very attractive here. The world-famous ‘Konark’ temple is located 35 km away from Puri in north-east direction. World famous ‘Chilka lake’ is located 35 kilometers away from Puri in south-west direction.
How to reach ‘Puri’ –
Bhubaneswar is the nearest airport to go to Puri. There is also a train facility to visit Puri. Direct trains are available from various corners of India to Puri. You can also go Puri via Bhubaneswar by bus or train. If you want travel by bus from Bhubneswar to Puri, then you have to go ‘Kalpana Bus stand’ in Bhubneswar. From there you can take bus for ‘Konark temple’ and ‘Puri’. There is no train route to go from Bhubaneswar to Konark. The best way is that you go ‘Puri’ first. And from there you should visit Konark Temple and Chilka Lake.
There are many hotels in ‘Puri’. Most of hotels are situated on ‘C.T. Road’ (Chakratirth Road), which is about 500 miter away from ‘Puri’ railway station. ‘C.T. Road’ is very close to sea beach.
