• Kanjhawala Murder Case , New Delhi – Anjali Singh, 20, was killed at Kanjhawala in Delhi’s Sultanpuri area after a car hit her scooter in the early hours of New Year’s day and she was dragged under it for 10-12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala before the occupants of the car abandoned her body. Police has arrested 5 accused in this case.
• Nikki Yadav Murder Case, New Delhi – On February 10, 2023, Nikki Yadav, a student of Delhi, was killed by her own boyfriend and her body was kept in a fridge in his restaurant. The police have arrested several members of her family including lover Sahil Gehlot in this case.
• Umesh Pal Murder Case, Prayagraj (UP)– On February 24, 2023, lawyer Umesh Pal, a prime witness in 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal Murder case, along with two of his police gunners were killed outside his house in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Some of the accused criminals related to this heinous murder case have been arrested by the police, while some criminals have been encountered, while some criminals are absconding.

• Atique Ahmed and Ashraf Ahmed Murder Case, Prayagraj (UP) – Atique Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were killed in Prayagraj on 15 April 2023 when both of them were being taken to the hospital for medical checkup in police custody. • Sarswati Vaidya Murder Case, Mumbai (Maharashtra)- A 36-year-old woman living in an apartment on Mira Road in Mumbai was allegedly first murdered by her live-in-partner Manoj Sane, and then chopped the body into ‘multiple pieces’. The accused also boiled the pieces of his live-in-partner’s body in a pressure cooker so that he could dispose of them easily. The police arrested the accused from the spot on 7 June 2023.
• Murder in Courtroom Case, Lucknow (UP) – Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva, who appeared in police custody in the Civil Court on June 7, 2023, was shot dead inside the courtroom in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The murderer Vijay Yadav came in the form of a lawyer and shot Sanjeev Jeeva in front of the judge. Vijay Yadav, who was running away after the murder, was caught by the lawyers present there and handed over to the police.
• 5 persons including bride and groom murder cases, Mainpuri (UP) – In the early morning of 24 June 2023, a young man Shivveer killed 5 of his own relatives in Arsara Gokulpur village under Kishni police station area of Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. He attacked and killed his younger brother Sonu Yadav, Sonu Yadav’s newly married wife Soni, brother-in-law Saurabh Yadav, his youngest brother Bhullan Yadav and Sonu Yadav’s friend Deepak Upadhyay with a sharp weapon when all five were fast asleep at night.
