If you are purchasing a second hand bike from any other person than you have to register your name with your bike in Regional Transport Office (RTO) in your district. For this you have to apply for change ownership of vehicles. After approval of change ownership the name of owner of vehicles will be named by you from former owner.
For this process, you have take “form 29” form office. After fill up this you have to submit this form with original owner book of bike and your identity card’s xerox.
The charge for change ownership is different in stats. But it is maximum Rs. 1000. After apply the application, RTO will give the receipt of application. This receipt will be valid for take bike from old owner of bike.
The required documents with application for change ownership of bike are –
- Original Owner Book
- Update Insurance of Bike
- Pollution certificate of bike
- Fitness certificate of bike.
After some days RTO will give original owner book to you by your name. For take original owner book you have to give the receipt of application.
